Pinnacles NM
A return trip to Pinnacles NM. This time I was fortunate enough to see some California Condor's fly over just as I reached the highest point of my hike (Scout Peak). The January weather was really amazing, even by Cali standards, as it was warm enough for shorts and t-shirt. At the end of the hike I was able to cool down a bit by going through the Balconies Cave Trail, where I saw quite a few bats waiting for night to fall.

For my hike, I started at the Chaparral Ranger Station, then went up the Juniper Canyon Trail to Scout Peak (Condor's!). I then proceeded along the High Peaks Trail, to Old Pinnacles Trail, and completed the loop by going over the Balcony Cliffs Trail with a quick detour through the Balcony Caves. Probably about 9mi total.
