Made a somewhat spur of the moment trip to Yosemite at the tail end of Washington's Birthday holiday with the goal of getting a decent photo of the "firefall" effect at Horsetail Falls. Arriving on Monday of a 3-day weekend was great, as most people were heading out of the park! The competition for a good viewing spot of the falls can be fierce, but it wasn't too bad this time around. While the light did put on a good show, it would have been even better with some more water! Next morning I got up for sunrise (brrr!) and tried to get some nice shots of El Capitan, but the light was not too cooperative. Eventually, I decided to warm up with some breakfast before making a quick stop at Yosemite Falls and then heading home.
